Charlyn Anderson

 Founder & Executive Director

Charlyn Anderson is the Founder and Executive Director of Starting With Today, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization, which mission is to create, sustain, and enhance professional, mental, and financial wellness by providing customized training and resources to underserved adults.

Ms. Anderson founded Starting With Today, Inc. after seeing how little of current industry trends and information were making their way to low-income communities.  Her desire to bridge the gaps along with the management and outreach skills honed in the local government, corporate, and nonprofit fields gave her a well-rounded platform upon which to step into her passion.

 

 

Patrice O. Clark, Esq.

  General Counsel

Patrice Clark is a licensed attorney in Maryland and the District of Columbia, specializing in all aspects of litigation, small business formation and government regulatory compliance. She currently works at Loch Harbour Group, Inc. with major client U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. Her work entails examining a wide variety of corporate structures to determine if a Veteran-owned small business (VOSB) applicant satisfies the requirements set forth in 38 CFR Part 74 for inclusion in the verified VOSB database. Ms. Clark began her legal career as a Litigation Associate at Howrey LLP, where she gained experience in complex commercial litigation and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act due diligence investigations. She also prevailed in a preliminary injunction hearing in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for a large group of tenants in a landlord-tenant case on a pro bono basis. 

Ms. Clark earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science at Howard University and a Juris Doctorate at Howard University School of Law, where she was a Senior Articles Editor for the Howard Law Journal. 

 

Kyle Bacon

 Director of Development

Over the course of his career in the business arena and in the youth development field, Kyle has worked in business development, program creation and direct intervention related capacities. Kyle has played a key role on several successful projects centered on impacting young people who have faced a myriad of challenges in life, including the development of a dynamic second-chance facility for juvenile offenders to turn their lives around. Kyle currently serves as the Mentor Program Coordinator for the U.S. Dream Academy’s Washington, D.C. learning center.

Growing up in the home of a community leader and an educator, Kyle considers himself fortunate to be in a position to assist young people in dreaming and reaching their goals. A part of his life mission and purpose is to help transform the lives of individuals, families, and communities through the education and development of our most underserved and under supported youth – as modeled by his own family. Kyle’s efforts have helped significantly improve academic skills, develop moral character, and build new dreams of youth all across the country.

Kyle is a proud alumnus of the School of Business at Howard University in Washington, D.C. where he earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in International Marketing. He is active in a number of community and philanthropic organizations including; Capital Cause – a nonprofit organization that enables young philanthropists to maximize their financial and skills-based contributions through collective giving., Outreach360, a volunteer organization charged with helping underserved youth in the Dominican-Republic, and a men’s life-enrichment small group through his church relationships.

 

 

Conrad Woody

Director of Corporate & Community Relations

Conrad Woody is a Principal in Korn/Ferry International’s Washington, D.C. office and a member the Firm’s Government Affairs Practice. 

Mr. Woody specializes in executing senior-level federal, state, and international government affairs searches for major corporations and trade associations in a broad range of industries including energy, financial services, health care, insurance, defense and technology. Some of his recent clients include Amazon.com, Accenture, The Boeing Company, BMW North America, Caterpillar Inc., Cisco Systems, CVS Caremark, Edison Electric Institute, First Solar, Google, The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), NYSE Euronext, Prudential, Starbucks Coffee Company and Walgreens.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Woody was a member of the firmwide diversity recruiting team at Goldman Sachs, where he managed pre-college outreach initiatives and diversity recruitment in the Black, Native American, and Disability space. Mr. Woody began his career as an aide for Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes-Norton (D-DC).

Mr. Woody earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in political science at Howard University, where he was President of the Howard University Student Association

 

 

Kaye Guidugli

Director of Data & Evaluation

Kaye Guidugli is a results driven youth development professional with experience in K-12 Education, Pre - College Programs and Higher Education.  She is passionate about developing and supporting programs with proven records of success with traditionally underserved populations.  She believes that in order to improve outcomes communities must focus on equipping individuals with the psycho – social tools required for responsible decision making and positive behavior.

In her current position she has decreased student behavior problems and increased student performance through data-based decision making.  Her certification training in Evaluation Practice through the George Washington University’s Evaluator’s Institute has helped her revise program evaluations and develop surveys, resulting in more robust data, improved staff training and greater cross subject course collaboration.

Kaye Guidugli has successfully designed and administered surveys, focus groups and interview protocols to evaluate youth conferences, programs and general office efficiency. 

 

Queshia Bradley

Trust Advisor

Queshia Bradley is a Proposal Officer with the Jhpiego Corporation, an international health non-profit organization affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University.  Ms. Bradley works in the New Program Development department at Jhpiego’s headquarters in Baltimore, MD.  Her main role is to coordinate effective proposal management.  Her responsibilities range from identifying and tracking potential foundation and private sector-funded opportunities to supporting internal review processes, synthesizing proposal inputs, preparing final submissions and effectively transitioning awarded projects for implementation.

Prior to joining Jhpiego, Ms. Bradley was a Community Health Outreach and Business Development Volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps in Mozambique.  She spent her two year tenure leading community partners’ data collection efforts, working closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation team of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs' PACTO project.  Ms. Bradley supported and trained community health workers in HIV/AIDS prevention, testing and counseling services available; she also strengthened the life skills of vulnerable children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS pandemic at a community-based organization.  While in Mozambique, she served as the National Coordinator of a youth empowerment program, managing a national network of almost 100 youth activity groups and promoting positive behavior change through projects in the arts. Ms. Bradley began her career as the Manager for Education Programs with the Alliance for Consumer Education in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Bradley earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business with a concentration in Marketing at Howard University in Washington, D.C.  She enjoys travelling abroad, dancing, and is an active member of community service organizations and professional associations. Ms. Bradley assists with program efforts for the D.C.-based nonprofit, Powerful Beyond Measure -a youth and community development organization- and is an active member of their Board of Directors; a member of both the Community Engagement and Youth Development committees with the Greater Baltimore Urban League Young Professionals Auxiliary; a member of the Washington Association of Professional Anthropologists.

 

Jasmine Lipford

Director of Marketing

Originally from Hampton, VA, Jasmine Lipford graduated from Howard University’s undergraduate School of Business in 2009 with a B.B.A in Marketing. While at Howard she was a captain on the women’s basketball team and was involved with the American Marketing Association and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

 After completing her undergraduate education, Jasmine joined Ogilvy & Mather in 2009 when she was invited to join the Ogilvy Associates Program, a competitively sought after program in the advertising industry. After completing her rotational year, Jasmine joined the Marketing Strategy team where she worked first as an Analyst and later as a Senior Analyst in Ogilvy’s consulting practice. In her role she partnered with cross-functional teams to solve complex client business and marketing problems for clients and support the development of client integrated communications strategies.  In addition to day-to-day client work, Jasmine also served as co-president of Ogilvy’s Black Professional Network and a member of Ogilvy’s Young Professional Network.  Jasmine worked to support recruitment efforts for the Ogilvy Associate and Internship programs.

 In 2013, Jasmine left Ogilvy to pursue her M.B.A at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management where she studied Marketing and International Business.  During her time at Kellogg, Jasmine served on the leadership committees for the Black Management Association and the Kellogg Marketing Club.  She also took part in the school’s annual Marketing Competition and Super Bowl Advertising Review.  While at Kellogg Jasmine worked as a Summer Associate Brand Manager for Kraft Foods. Jasmine also spent a semester abroad studying International Marketing at the ESADE School of Business in Barcelona, Spain.

 After finishing her M.B.A. in 2015, Jasmine joined Anheuser-Busch as a Brand Manager and a member company’s Global MBA program.  In addition to her marketing duties on the Busch and Busch Light brand team, Jasmine also works to deliver internal consulting projects and taking part in international “deep dive” trainings through the GMBA program. Outside of work, Jasmine is involved as both a mentor and volunteer with the iMentor organization, an NYC initiative that aims to match at-risk high school students with young professional mentors who will aide them in their journey to further their educations.
